![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My quick take: Ying to their yang bffs make a yearly summer trip together that would make any significant other jealous. It’s the perfect summer/beach/vacation/rainy day read.Emily Henry is now an auto-buy author for me. Alex is a new fav and all I’ll shout is “WAKE UP POPPY!” It is so realistic that you think your friend is telling. This book has a friends-to-lovers trope that has you begging for the couple to get together. I was at the 50% mark when I started it again and couldn’t stop until I got to the end. I read Emily Henry’s other book, Beach Read, and in my opinion, PWMOV was SO MUCH BETTER I finished this book in one day, and when I finished it, I was crying and fist-pumping at the same time. PWMOV also kept me up WAY past my bedtime…1:30 a.m. It helps that the characters are quite different in age, as well HNTFIL is a YA rom-com, whereas PWMOV spans over ten years of friendship, well into the career crises, back spasms, and homeownership age range. ![]() Now back to our regularly scheduled program:Īfter reading my review for Beach Read again, I realized I was met with a similar reading experience.
